The semi-finals and consolation final are set. Thursday night saw (10) Faith dispatch of the (11) Knights to advance to the consolation finals. They will play the (9) Wisemen on Thursday 4/7.
In the second game the (8) Believers put up a convincing first half, leading the (1) Saints by five at the break with some stellar shooting. The Saints came out strong in the second half, taking the lead within the first few minutes and never looking back.
In the nightcap, (4) Forbidden Fruit and (5) Revival played what may be the best game of the year. It was a game of small runs, 5 points here, 6 point there. Back and forth it went with several lead changes. With Forbidden Fruit down 4 with 11 seconds left, Steven Browning (Forbidden Fruit) took in a long pass and promptly drained a 30-footer to bring his team within one. After fouling, Revival could only convert the first of two free throws. Jay Mohr grabbed the rebound and headed down the court. Just past half court he put up a running shot that very nearly banked in but did not. Time then expired and Revival had the win..
On Monday, the Saint will battle Revival and then the (2) Kings will battle the (6) Warriors trying to advance to the championship game.
Monday night will be CRAVEsports March Madness followed by NCAA March Madness!
